I was born in Bolivia, a beautiful country surrounded by mountains in South America. My parents got divorced when I was a year old and I saw my mother struggle to survive. Divorce almost always spelled disaster for a woman in Bolivia and it was especially hard on my mother.
My first memoir "Beyond the Snows of the Andes" now available on Kindle and paperback, explores this part of my life in detail, as well as the idiosyncrasies of the country. The dream of my life was always to come to America and I fulfilled it when I was seventeen years old. I also dreamed of being a writer ever since I can remember and my first memoir is a culmination of that dream.
My second memoir "A Different Journey" is about the second part of my life in America and the birth of my exceptional daughter who was born with Down Syndrome. It's about the challenges and joys of raising her as a single parent. This uplifiting story is available on Kindle and paperback.
My third short story, "Jill & Mickey, a True Story" can be purchased on Amazon. It's a sweet, tender story that will appeal to all bird lovers and people who love animals in general.
My fourth short story "Six Months of Wonderful" can be purchased on the Kindle as well. This is a story strickly for cat lovers.
My first novel, "The Dark Path of Julie E." is on the Kindle and on demand at CreateSpace.com. This is a dramatic story that depicts the price of fame and the fact that it doesn't always lead to happiness or a fulfilling life.
My second novel, "The Reality of Turning Sixty," is available both in print and on the Kindle and it deals with the reality of aging. This fact-fiction novel dispels the myths and fantasies about old age and tells us when the aging process really starts because sixty is definitely not the new forty as they would have you believe.
My third novel, "A Plunge into Hell" is a powerful read based on a true story. It's about not being able to accept the twists and turns of fate, and the misery such rigidity can bring. This book will soon be available on paperback as well.
In addition, I have two new books, "Learning to Age Well," based on real interviews and "A Companion for Life."
